A Korean lash lift lifts and curls your own lashes from the root, so your eyes look more open and rested. No extensions, no glue and no lash curler every morning. Here is how it differs, what the session is like, how long it lasts and how to look after it.
What is a Korean lash lift?
It gives your natural lashes a long-lasting curl from the root. The Korean technique we use at BRUMA includes hydration: at the end of the session we nourish the hair fibre, so it stays cared for while it is lifted.
Who is it for?
- Straight lashes or lashes that grow downwards.
- Anyone who wants more open eyes without the upkeep of extensions.
- Hooded eyelids: the curl helps to open up the eyes.
- Anyone tired of using a lash curler every day.
What the session is like
- Cleansing. We remove make-up and oil from the lashes.
- Choosing the curl. We pick the shield according to your lash length and eye shape.
- Lift and set. We lift the lash from the root.
- Hydration. We finish by nourishing the hair fibre.
The session takes about an hour and is very comfortable: most clients simply relax with their eyes closed.
How long does a lash lift last?
Usually 6 to 8 weeks, following the natural growth cycle of your lashes. As new lashes grow in, the curl fades gradually and naturally.
Aftercare
- Don’t get your lashes wet for the first 24 hours.
- Avoid sauna and steam on the first day.
- You can wear mascara after 24 hours.
- Don’t use a lash curler: you won’t need it.
Lash lift or eyelash extensions?
A lift enhances your own lashes without adding anything: natural and almost no upkeep. Eyelash extensions add extra length and volume but need regular infills. If your lashes already have good length, a lift is usually enough.
