Threading or waxing for your brows and face? Both remove hair from the root, but they treat the skin differently. Here is how they differ, which suits each area and prices at BRUMA.
How threading works
Hair is removed with a cotton thread, with no heat or product on the skin. It is very precise, almost hair by hair, which makes it ideal for brow shaping and sensitive skin.
How waxing works
It removes hair from the root and leaves skin smooth for several weeks. It is quick on larger areas, so we use it mainly for the body and bikini, though also on the face.
By area
- Brows: threading, for precision. Wax is also possible.
- Upper lip, chin and sideburns: threading for sensitive skin; wax if you want speed.
- Body and bikini: wax.
Does threading hurt?
You feel a small tug, but it is quick and the skin gets less irritated than with wax.
Tips
- Let the hair grow a few millimetres before your appointment.
- Don’t exfoliate on the same day.
- Avoid sun and sauna for the next 24 hours.

- Brow shaping + hair removal (thread or wax): €20.
- Shaping + hair removal + tint: €40.
- Shaping + hair removal + henna: €45.
- Facial wax (upper lip, chin or sideburns): €10 per area.
